These earrings, together with the necklace, designed by the architect Tobia Scarpa For the Milanese silversmith San Lorenzo, they hark back to the archetypes of Renaissance jewelry as it has come down to us in pictorial iconography. A thin silver wire, rhodium-plated to make maintenance easier, forms a circular ring in which the beads are trapped small silver pearls.
